TEENS AGES 13 TO 17

TEEN SKI & SNOWBOARD GROUP LESSONS   Coaching happens and skills develop – but half the time you won’t even know it’s happening because they are having so much fun!  Based on conditions and group ability levels, daily lessons can include coaching for pipe & park, big mountain, bumps, carving, racing and freestyle. Teens may choose to compete with new friends at such specials events as Lowdown Showdown park challenge, school race day and NASTAR.

·     Snowmass - Teen ski & snowboard group lessons for all abilities are available every day.

·     Buttermilk - Teen ski & snowboard group lessons are available during peak holiday seasons*.

·     Aspen Highlands - Teen SKI only group lessons during peak holiday seasons*.  Intermediate to expert abilities only! (Teens must be able to ski parallel on blue terrain.)

·     Helmets are required and Teens should bring money for lunch. See lift pricing options for best lift ticket options!

·     Meeting areas: Snowmass - base of the Village Express lift. Buttermilk - base of the Summit Express lift, Aspen Highlands - base of the Exhibition lift.

·     Plan to arrive at your lesson meeting area at 9:15am. Allow at least an extra hour if you are renting equipment, or if your schedule allows, pick up your rentals the evening before your first day on the slopes. On your first day, please plan for time to fill out required paperwork.

TEEN STEEP CAMP   Experience the best black and double-black-diamond terrain that Aspen/Snowmass has to offer with some of the most knowledgeable pros in the industry. Learn self-arrest, the effects of sun exposure on the slopes, how wind can change texture, loading and safety of a pitch and important factors to be mindful of when skiing/riding steeps in groups.  Things get exciting when maneuvering through trees on steeps, and how to finesse cornice drops and jumps!

·     Teen Steep Camps are at Snowmass for Skiers – Advance and Experts ONLY!

·     Helmets are required and Teens will need a lift ticket, money for lunch and equipment.

·     Meet at the base of the Village Express lift next to the Snowmass Base Village Plaza and at Aspen Highlands teens meet at the base of the Exhibition lift.

·     Reservations are recommended

PARK & PIPE CAMP   Take advantage of the biggest and coolest park in the nation, home to the ESPN Winter X Games!  Teen skiers and snowboarders who want to perfect their moves on the mountain and in the park join our expert pros for 3 days of specialized coaching. Develop skills (and attitude) to turn the entire mountain into a natural terrain park and get a handle on mountain and park etiquette. Practice skills for all levels on jump features and effectively pull off riding boxes, rails and stairs!

·     Teen Park & Pipe Camps are at Buttermilk for skiers & snowboarders – Intermediate to Expert abilities
