Summer Recreation / Biking - Bike Rentals

There are all kinds of places to ride in Aspen/Snowmass whether for mountain biking, road biking, or just cruising around town. From beginner to advanced or scenic tours to hard-core single-track, you can find your ride here!

MOUNTAIN BIKING AT ASPEN/SNOWMASS

Miles of trails await novice to expert riders, from gentle roads to challenging single track. Each Four-Mountain Sports store specializes in its own types of biking adventures depending on your biking level and what you want to do. Click here for a list of suggested rides from each shop location.

Snowmass is a mountain biker's paradise! The Burlingame lift will take you and your equipment up the mountain where you can discover trails of every level. Snowmass is also mountainboard friendly. Mountain biking and mountainboarding lessons are available for ages 6 through adult at Camp Aspen/Snowmass, located at the Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center.

Four-Mountain Sports now offers Rocky Mountain Bikes for rental!
Four-Mountain Sports is committed to bringing you the best quality rental products available. We currently rent Element and Slayer mountain and downhill bikes as well as Solo series road bikes. Kids bikes, Trail-a-bikes, and Burley bike trailers are all available to make sure that everyone in the family is able to come along on the biking adventure. Mountain biking in SnowmassBIKE RENTALS: Four-Mountain Sports/D&E are the only shops in town that offer one-way bike rental between our locations in Aspen, Snowmass Village and Aspen Highlands. Cruisers, mountain, freeride, performance road, kids’ bikes, trail-a bikes and burleys are all available.

SUGGESTED RIDES FROM FOUR-MOUNTAIN SPORTS LOCATIONS

Pick up in Aspen:

  • Cruise down the Rio Grande Trail and catch the bus back from the Woody Creek Tavern.
  • Mountain bike up Smuggler and enjoy the Hunter Creek loop.
  • Ride up to Snowmass Village via the Owl Creek trail; drop off there or ride back.
  • Road ride up the Castle Creek valley to the old ghost town of Ashcroft.
  • Road ride up to the magnificent Maroon Bells, the most photographed peaks in North America.
Pick up in Snowmass:
  • Ride into Aspen via Owl Creek trail; drop off there or ride back.
  • Ride the Burlingame Chair in Snowmass then enjoy some downhill adrenalin.
  • Ride one of the many single track trails at Snowmass: Rim Trail, Cross Mountain, Tom Blake, West Government and Powerline.
  • Ride the famous Government trail; drop off in Aspen.
Pick up at Aspen Highlands:
  • Rent a bike from Aspen Highlands, take the bus to the Maroon Bells and enjoy the downhill cruise back to the shop at Highlands plaza.
  • Road ride up to the magnificent Maroon Bells, the most photographed peaks in North America.
  • Cruise into Aspen and back.
  • Ride down to Woody Creek along the Rio Grande trail and catch the bus from the Woody Creek Tavern to Aspen.
